This page lets MAIRA automatically fetch Trading Paints liveries for drivers in your current iRacing session and put them into your local iRacing paint folder so iRacing can load them. Trading Paints is a third-party service for custom iRacing paints.
Settings
Enabled
Turns MAIRA’s Trading Paints integration on/off.
Default: OFF
What happens when enabled
- MAIRA watches the current session driver list.
- When it sees new drivers it hasn’t processed yet, it contacts Trading Paints to find the paint assets needed for those drivers, downloads them, and writes them into your local paint folder.
- After downloading, MAIRA tells iRacing to reload textures for the affected cars so the paints can show up without restarting iRacing.
Delete paints when iRacing closes
When enabled, MAIRA cleans up the paints it downloaded once the iRacing simulator closes, so they don’t accumulate in your paint folder over time.
Default: OFF
What happens when enabled
- MAIRA keeps track of every paint file it downloads during the session.
- When iRacing closes, those downloaded paint files are deleted from your paint folder.
- Your own paint files are always kept — only paints MAIRA downloaded for other drivers are removed.
- Paint files that were already in your folder before MAIRA downloaded anything are left untouched.
iRacing paint folder
Where MAIRA will place downloaded paint files.
Default: Documents\iRacing\paint
Notes
- This should point at the same folder iRacing uses for paints. If you change it to a non-standard location, iRacing may not see the files.
- MAIRA will attempt to create the folder if it doesn’t exist. If it can’t create it (permissions, invalid path, etc.), the integration will fault and stop.
Max download speed
Limits how much of your internet bandwidth MAIRA uses while downloading paint files. Lower this if you want to keep bandwidth free for other things (such as iRacing itself) while paints are being fetched in the background.
The value can be set anywhere from 64 KB/s up to 10240 KB/s.
Default: 1024 KB/s
Re-download paint files
Resets MAIRA’s Trading Paints integration and re-fetches all liveries for the drivers in your current iRacing session. MAIRA clears its record of which drivers it has already processed, then re-downloads their paints and reloads the textures in iRacing. This is useful if a paint failed to download or you want to force a fresh pull.
This button only does anything while the Trading Paints integration is enabled.
